MLK Day Acts of Service Event

Come out to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr with an educational and service program in the Chestnutwold cafeteria. CW students will have the opportunity to learn about Claudette Colvin and the Children’s March - young people who worked with Dr. King to fight for Civil Rights. We’ll also be making cards to send to troops who are deployed overseas and dog toys to donate to animal shelters. There will be a storytime at 11:00. Students will have the chance to make a pledge on the Be a King board to show how they can keep Dr. King’s legacy alive.

*If you can - bring old tshirts or sheets to make the dog toys with!
