Art Show
Taking place during the Spring Evening of the Arts, the community is invited to “Chestnutwold the Art Gallery”! Student artwork created in Art Class, Art Club, and Art in the Classroom is on display throughout the school. Parent volunteers are needed to back, label and hang artwork leading up to the event and to help the evening of the event. Throughout the year parents can also volunteer during art classes to help back student artwork.
Back To School Picnic
Families bring their blankets and dinner and join the whole school community for a night of playing, and getting to know their classmates.
Chestnutwold Chase
Every Spring the PTO sponsors Running Clubs leading up to the 5K/1 Mile Chesnutwold Chase fundraiser. This is a great community event. Come out to run, cheer or volunteer!
Faculty Appreciation Luncheon
At the end of Teacher Appreciation week, this committee organizes a luncheon to thank our teachers and administrators for all the hard work they do. Volunteer opportunities include: donating food, setting up lunch, waiting on the teachers during the luncheon, and breaking down the meal. Lots of parent volunteers are needed and appreciated during this event!
Halloween Trunk or Treat
Trunk or Treat event in the Chestnutwold Parking lot where families sign up to decorate their car and pass out candy.
MLK Day of Service
We invite the school community to honor the legacy of Dr. King with acts of service and education.
New Family Meet and Greet
All new students- Kindergarten through 5th grade- and their families are invited to attend the playground meet and greet, enjoy one more summer treat, and meet new classmates, our school principal, and Chestnutwold families. We need volunteers of current Chestnutwold families to help greet new families and be family sponsors.
Phoenix Fun Day & DANCe Party
Phoenix Fun Day brings our Chestnutwold families together for an afternoon of fun, games, and more! This annual event is sponsored by the PTO to help kick off the school year, meet new families, and build the Chestnutwold community.
Phoenix Fun Day features games, moon bounces, crafts, and an obstacle course; it also includes an hour-long dance party with games and raffle prizes! Pizza, baked goods, and spirit wear will be available for sale. All members of the school community are welcome to join the fun!
Variety Show/Telethon
Open to all students. This show will take place in the early spring. Students are invited to showcase their talents for the school community in a fun virtual interactive format.
